“Going and doing nothing and getting where you ended is a dish for disaster,” Rudnick said.

Dancer Makaila Menning,13, is being dealt with for a current injury. Makaila stated she went from dancing 15 hours a week to unexpectedly a month of no dancing. When she resumed dancing, that's when problems occurred.
“I got truly tight,” Makalia said. “I could barely do like half of what I was doing.”
Then she noticed knee discomfort.
“Three, four, five, 6 months of downtime, you're going through a development spurt that you're not accommodating to with your activity that you normally would have been working through,” Rudnick said.
He stated it is necessary for kids and grownups to set up out time to be active.

“Play, whatever you want to do, simply get up and move, just no sitting around. Even if it's simply around the house, dance celebration, pull it up on YouTube,” Rudnick stated.
He said kids shouldn't spend more than 30 minutes sitting at a screen without getting up and moving.
“The moms and dads need to expect extended forward neck flection. You must not remain in this bent down position. It puts a great deal of extra load on the back of the neck,” Rudnick said.
Makalia stated it's a lesson learned.
“It felt like the world type of froze for a minute … I needed to keep working and keep going,” she stated.
