LAKE PLACID– Lake Placid police are examining a death found at a Sentinel Road residence and chiropractic office on Tuesday.
Sgt. Chuck Dobson stated the Lake Placid Police Department reacted to 6018 Sentinel Road at 9:26 a.m. Tuesday for a report of an unattended death. The High Peaks Optimal Health workplace, run by chiropractic practitioners Joseph and Rhiannon Clauss, lies there.
Essex County Coroner Jay Heald, of Elizabethtown, responded to the scene. He referred all concerns to New York State Police, who assisted the Lake Placid Police Department at the scene. State Police did not react to requests for more information.
Lake Placid authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, according to Dobson. He said that police needs to be able to offer more information soon, after the individual's relative are notified.
