Elizabethtown chiropractor accused of raping, sexually abusing juvenile patients in his office – WDRB

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)– An Elizabethtown chiropractic specialist is behind bars after cops state he raped and sexually abused 2 juvenile women throughout different appointments at his office.

According to the Elizabethtown Police Department, Matthew Colasanti runs Colasanti Chiropractic, a practice in the 2000 block of Ring Road, simply south of Tunnel Hill Road, in Elizabethtown.

On the early morning of Wednesday, Nov. 25, police state Colasanti brought a juvenile to his office for a back adjustment. The teen told cops that while she was lying on the table face-down, Colasanti started fondling her, then raped her.

The teenager says she jumped off the table and faced the restroom, waiting there for another adult staff member to get here so she could leave.

Colasanti is charged with first-degree rape in connection with that case.

Another teenage girl informed police she was sexually abused on numerous celebrations while she was a client in Colasanti's workplace. According to an arrest report, these occurrences happened from April to June.

Police say Colasanti would fondle the 16-year-old while she was being adjusted for neck and back pain. She stated this happened both outdoors and inside her clothes, and Colasanti would frequently remark on “how tight and tense she was.”

According to the arrest report, the victim informed officers that this occurred, “nearly every time she was changed by him, which was when a week for 3 months.” She said this would not occur when she was brought to the office by an adult.

Colasanti, 32, is charged with first-degree sexual assault in connection with this case. He is currently being kept in the Hardin County Detention Center.

“This suspect remained in a position of trust and also a position of power over these very vulnerable juvenile victims who trusted him,” stated Officer John Thomas, a spokesperson for the Elizabethtown Police Department. “He benefited from their vulnerability to do something that will most likely leave scars for the rest of their lives. We certainly hope that they will have the ability to recuperate, and we want them all the very best because.”

Thomas says officers are unaware of any additional victims, however anyone with any additional info is asked to call the department at 270-765-4125.
