DC Relaxes Mandate for Masks Indoors and Outdoors – NBC4 Washington

D.C. unwinded its mask required Thursday after federal health officials provided revised guidance of their own a day previously.

The D.C. Department of Health published brand-new guidance that downsize mask requirements, particularly for people who are totally immunized. An order from Mayor Muriel Bowser is expected quickly.

Here are a few of the modifications:

  • No mask is required for anybody at a small outside event of friends and family, as long as you're not with anyone who is sick or at high risk from COVID-19
  • Individuals are not required to use masks at little, personal, indoor gatherings where everyone is vaccinated
  • Masks are still needed at large outdoor events
