An Elizabethtown chiropractic specialist was jailed Monday and charged with 2 sex offense felonies including minors who were patients of his, according to an arrest citations.

Matthew J. Colasanti, 32, is charged with one count of first-degree rape and one count of first-degree sexual assault of two ladies.

Colasanti operates Colasanti Chiropractic on Ring Road.

On Nov. 25, a juvenile woman relative of Colasanti informed Elizabethtown authorities that he offered to offer her a back modification and while she was lying face down on a table, he apparently began to fondle her and then raped her, according to an arrest citation.

The girl said she jumped off an evaluation table and encountered a bathroom “until another adult worker came into the office so she might leave,” the citation stated.

According to arrest citations, another reported victim, 16, was touched inappropriately during practically all of her gos to while getting her back adjusted from April of this year through June. She had appointments as soon as a week for three months and informed authorities that Colasanti “would not touch her when she was brought in the workplace by a grownup.”

The accused would rub her butts under her clothes during the modifications for upper neck and back pain, the citation stated, in addition to touch other areas of her body and after that would make remarks about her.

“We aren't making any presumptions about the possibility of other victims,” Elizabethtown Police Department representative John Thomas stated. “If there are other victims we advise them to come forward.”

First-degree rape is a Class B felony punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison, if founded guilty, while first-degree sexual abuse is a Class D felony punishable by one to five years in prison, if convicted.

Colasanti will be arraigned today in Hardin District Court on the charges. He is being held in lieu of a $25,000 cash bond in the Hardin County Detention Center.
