Photography By Washington Post Staff|Jan 31, 2021 The snow moved into the D.C. location from the southwest prior to dawn and started to stick given the cold ground and
air temperatures mostly in the upper 20s. This is the same storm system that brought more than
100 inches of snow to the Sierra Nevada variety in California previously this week, and 8 inches to Chicago on Saturday. After a nearly snowless winter season in 2015 and a paltry season up until now in 2021, this snow totals up to the most D.C. has seen in two years. Jan. 31, 2021|Springfield, Va.
