A woman and a man, both teens, were killed in a shooting in Southeast D.C. on Saturday, authorities state.
Soon prior to midnight, officers reacted to the shooting in the 3100 block of Waclark Place SE and discovered a number of individuals struggling with gunshot injuries, D.C. police said.
Medics took 19-year-old Zymia Joyner and 19 year-old Rashard Waldo to healthcare facilities for treatment.
All life-saving efforts stopped working and Joyner and Waldo passed away a brief time later on, authorities said. Joyner was from Northeast D.C. and Waldo was from District Heights, Maryland.
Five other adults suffered non-life threatening injuries and got medical treatment, authorities stated.
D.C. police are using a benefit of as much as $25,000 to anybody that supplies information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or individuals responsible for any murder.
